The foundations of NME were laid over 25 years ago when propietor Stewart Johnstone undertook an engineering apprenticeship with the then Vickers group, seven years later after becoming fully conversant with all aspects of shop floor engineering and aquiring qualifications in mechanical and production engineering he began to broaden his horizons within motorsports fields, concentrating mainly on motorcycle racing.

Over the last 20 years NME has provided services to many successful teams and riders, from engine building, development and modification, design and manufacture of bespoke racing components all the way through to working closely with riders over race weekends within the role of chief engineer.

NME has steadily expanded over this period with the range of services offered and prides itself in providing one of the widest ranges of services within motorcycle sport, all with the same high standard demanded by the knowledgeable motorsport customer.
